Kundang Lakes - 6th March 2015

6 Eggers took to the course today at Kundang Lakes with the majority experiencing the delights of the amenities for the first time. The recently opened highway heading away from the City Centre made the drive very quick and easy.

The fairways were in reasonable condition, and any poor lies on the fairway were taken care off with the pick and clean rule.  Greens were surprisingly in good condition.  Buggies were allowed on the fairway allowing us to finish the round in just under 4 hours.

The cost at 60 MYR per person (an additional of 10 MYR for another buggy) certainly makes this course one of the cheapest.  We decided have lunch at the club and several cans of beers and food later we were served with the enormous bill of 121 MYR.   The general consensus was great value for money and we should definitely be playing this course again in the future.

Results

Jeff Pearce got off to a flyer with a huge drive of 260 meters on the first hole, taking 3 further shots to get it in the hole which was only 10 meters away and walked off with a par.  The front 9 belonged to Robert Mulliss who again like last week score an excellent 22 points but this week managed to hang on and win with 34 points. The top 5 scores were very close with 3 points separating first and fifth place.  The lowest gross was scored by big hitting Jeff with a gross of 95.

Rotten Egg Award

Only one nomination today which was awarded to Peter Davies who organised the game today and sent out instructions for everyone to arrive on time with a helpful map showing the new speedy way to Kundang Lakes.  He subsequently turned up 10 minutes late and his excuse was because he followed the map and got lost.

As a footnote, Glen was also playing some great golf and then decide to leave his foot outside the cart.  He then kicked a tree root and thought he broke his big toe.  His game then improved and was kindly offered by his playing partner to break his other toes which Glen kindly declined.
