A slightly later start today at KRTU with tee-times of 09:00 and 09:10 left the 7 FRID' Eggers time for a heart breakfast at the clubhouse prior to starting. Conditions today were perfect, both weather wise with clear skies and a pleasant breeze and course wise which as usual was in excellent condition. Greens were very good but a little on the slow side.
The two flights got round in good time and we all enjoyed a good lunch (most of us trying the excellent fish and chips) with an appropriate amount of liquids to replenish the thirst.
Results
Winner today was Allan McNicoll with a gross score of 99 and 35 Stableford points with Glen Wombwell coming second with 103 and 32 points.
Biggest come back of the day was Mike Smith who scored 7 points on the front 9 but came back with 22 points on the back 9.
Rotten Egg Award
Robert Mulliss foolishly nominated himself for a Rotten Egg due to his antics on the 12th green and missing a tap-in put to then have the ball run down the slope to about 20 feet away. Although Peter Davies was also mentioned for his damage done to the sand bucket on the ladies tee-box on the 14th hole by his errant drive. However it was felt a self-nomination in itself was enough to get the coveted Rotten Egg Award.
This means that Robert again has accumulated now 3 Rotten Egg Awards which means he will pay for drinks at the next outing.
