Perangsang Templer - 2nd May 2014

We will play at Perangsang Templer this Friday and try to tee off by 8:00am. Please be there by 7:30am.

Results - KRTU - 25th April 2014

9 Eggers played at KRTU this week and although we expected wet conditions after the rain of the last few days the course conditions were really excellent. Greens were very good albeit some very slow and the fairways cut clean and tidy. Weather was also very good - sunny, clear skies but humid. We had 3 x 3-balls and we made it round in just under 4.5 hrs.

Results

Winner of the day was Tony Morris with an excellent gross 86 and 41 points - well done Tony.  Second (on count back from Robert Mulliss) was Stuart Taylor with 88 and 36 points. Full results below:

Rotten Egg Award

The Rotten Egg award this week was awarded to Allan McNicoll for not socialising at the table prior to the game and spending all his time talking to someone on the phone.

KRTU - 25th April 2014

We will be playing at KRTU (Air Force Course) on Friday 25th April. At the moment we have 9 Eggers confirmed so have booked 3 tee boxes at 09:00am, 09:10 and 09:20 am. Please be at the club by 8:30am for registration.

Results - KGPA - 18th April 2014

We played at KGPA this week and as the Lakes 9 was closed for maintenance we played the Forest 9 followed by the Hills 9. We had a total of 9 players including my guest Rick Russell who was visiting so we played 3 x 3-balls.

The Forest 9 which is the walking 9 at KGPA is short but very tight and we manage to find trouble there fairly easily. The greens on this 9 were very slow which caused a little consternation on the putting surface.

The Hills 9 was in much better shape with the greens running much quicker. Although rain threatened at one point it stayed cloudy and overcast making it quite pleasant.

Lunch was taken at the Selangor Club Sports Annexe which was very good and great value ..... especially with Robert Mulliss paying for the beers (see below) and the fact that probably not all the food was on the final bill.

Results

Winner of the day was Kevin Wiggins with 38 points and a gross of 85 - well done Kevin. Second was our guest Rick Russell with a gross of 87 and 37 points. Full results below:

Rotten Egg Award

The Rotten Egg award this week was awarded to Kevin Wiggins for showing up at the club at 7:30 and practising on the driving range before the game. Kevin now has 2 Rotten Egg awards so one more and we could all be enjoying drinks on him.

We had our first Rotten Eggs Award payout today with Robert Mulliss stumping up for the drinks as he had reached the 3 Rotten Egg Award level ...... well done Robert and many thanks!
